Ghhul | Economic and Crafts Revival, Kutch 2019

The aim of this textile project was to counter the recent monopoly of mechanized, printed replications of the craft. While fulfilling that initial objective, it evolved into a multifaceted inquiry into personal histories, cultural landscapes, and ontology, which took shape through a series of experimental Bandhani apparels. This project marked my transition from adhering to structured approaches as a trained industrial designer to immersing myself more deeply in spaces and processes—ultimately finding inspiration in communal narratives and intangible heritage embedded within the tangible.
